White Cloud Tea Company began with a simple love for tea and a belief that, even in a world that moves far too quickly, there is still something special about slowing down long enough to steep a cup.

For me, tea has always been about more than what is in the cup.

Growing up in New England, surrounded by the beauty of the Berkshire Mountains, some of my earliest and most treasured memories are of sharing tea with my grandmother. We did not always have a lot, but there was something comforting and special about tea. It brought warmth to ordinary days, created moments of connection, and somehow made home feel a little cozier. Those quiet cups of tea with my grandmother became the beginning of a lifelong love affair with tea, especially black tea, and the belief that some of life’s simplest rituals can become some of our most meaningful memories.

Years later, that love grew into White Cloud Tea Company.

Born in Austin and steeped in the heart of Texas, White Cloud Tea Company is truly a family business built around a shared love of tea, creativity, and bringing a little beauty and comfort into everyday life.

My husband, Kris, is an important part of the heart and soul behind White Cloud Tea Company. While I may be the one dreaming up many of the teas and ideas, Kris is the talented writer behind so many of the beautiful descriptions and stories you find throughout our collection. His words help bring each tea to life, capturing the feeling, flavor, imagination, and little bit of magic we hope you experience every time you open one of our bags.

And behind the scenes, my mom, Lily, is my partner in making it all happen. From helping fulfill orders to preparing the beautiful packages that make their way to homes across the country, she pours so much love and care into White Cloud Tea Company. Every order that leaves our hands is touched by the kind of care that only a family business can offer.

Together, we search for teas and ingredients we love and create a collection filled with flavors meant to comfort, inspire, energize, and help you slow down and savor the moment. From timeless black teas and delicate greens to caffeine-free herbal and rooibos blends, our collection is created for both the person discovering loose leaf tea for the first time and the lifelong tea lover who already understands the magic of a perfectly steeped cup.

We believe loose leaf tea offers something truly special. Whole leaves and botanicals have room to unfurl, creating fuller flavor, beautiful aromas, and a more enjoyable tea experience. We order our ingredients in small batches and carefully package our teas in light-protective, resealable bags designed to help preserve freshness and flavor, so that every cup is as wonderful as possible.

But perhaps more than anything, we believe tea creates moments.
